Benjamin David Viney

Hello! I'm an artist currently studying a two year extended national diploma and am planning to go to university next year. Although I'm a young artist I have already been lucky enough to have the opportunity of working at the Tate Modern on the Uniliver Tate modern Series. The reason for starting up this blog is because I have arrived at the end of my course and have begun my Final Major Project. This blog is designed to showcase my final piece which will be exhibited in May at the Chatham Historic Dockyard in Kent.

My current project is called ‘Seeing Double’ and is looking into four main concepts Multiplication, Collection, Repetition and Reflection.

Now This Is String Theory

Now This Is String Theory 

The idea behind 'Now This Is String Theory' was to look into the ideas of repetition for instance if you take a piece of string and pin it to the wall its just a piece of string but if you repeat the process over and over again you end up creating something that interrupts and disrupts the space that your using. It became quite an interesting piece unfortunately the photos don't do it justice but it was interesting the way  that you were able to physically interact with it.
